Richard PARKES (PARKE) (1806-1905)

Inherited the land (although only second oldest son) probably because brother,

Samuel, became Catholic and a priest. Richard, however, eventually converted

to Catholicism. He is credited with giving an acre of land and other financial

help to Catherine (Kitty) Kelly to support the offspring of his brother,

Charles.

Land passed to his spinster sister, Jane, upon his death. No will or land deed

was found despite extensive research. May have been destroyed in the 1922

uprising.
