Individual Note

Undoubtedly a member of the Church of Ireland although no record found of birth, marriage, or death in local Church of Ireland records in Castlerea. Was certainly related to Thomas Flynn who took over the Cloonree land from the Park(e)s family and who is an ancestor of the present owner, John Flynn. (This notation made January 18, 1994.)

Mary Flynn is listed in the 1841 Irish Census, age 60, head of household.

Her date of birth is based on this lone entry which may be inaccurate by as many as 10 years.

Thomas Flynn, her relative who came to own the Cloonree property, erected the Park(e)s family headstone in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Castlerea, where he identifies himself as "cousin."
