Individual Note

Research located a memorial of land deed between Robert Parkes (Parke)

and son, Richard, No. 100278 dated 10 Dec 1739 giving Cloonree lands to Richard.

DOCUMENTED SOURCES:Family History Library Ref 461356, Vol. 150, Pg. 104, Film

No. 0100278, Church of Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City, U.S.A.

Initial purchase of Cloonree (Cloonreeve) lands by Robert Parke is recorded in Registry of Deeds Memorial #113883, Sandford to Parke, 1754-1755, Volume 171. Deed shows Robert had been in been in rental possession of the land previously.

Deed also records names of his three children, Richard and Ellinor and Hanah.

This Memorial can be located on FHL Film 0461372 in the Place Name Index for

Roscommon, Ireland obtainable from Church of Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City, Utah or can be viewed at Registry of Deeds, Dublin.

Original Deed of Lease witnessed by Richd. Dillon of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon

and Laurence Cotton of Tounman, Co. Roscommon.

Memorial itself witnessed by Laurence Cotton and Roger Needham, Co. Roscommon.

It's logical to conclude from this memorial deed that Robert's son,

Richard, was born about 1714 because of the legal requirement that parties to such deeds be 21 years or older.

The father, Robert Parke, whose land deed with Robert Sandford was signed

on 10 March 1734 and which lists his three children -- Richard, Ellinor, and Hanah -- was probably born about 1692.
