Believed to have died in Portarlington, his prerogative will probated 1853.

The Will, however, was destroyed in 1922 fires. Destroyed also was most of the Prerogative Will Index, so John's status is unknown.

 

Named in ROD Memorial #54 in Volume 9 (FHL Film #0469794) dated 24 February 1836 which recites an intended marriage between his relative (by marriage) Jemmett Duke and Mary (Irwin) Duke, widow of John Duke, and names participating parties and lands (see below) in the transfer of properties to Charles Parke of Dunally, Co. Sligo
