Parke, William Henry, born Jamestown, County Leitrim, Ireland. (6th. Bn. Connaught Rangers) Second Lieut. 5th Bn Connaught Rangers 29th April 1889; Lieut. 2nd August 1890; Captain 3rd. March 1897. Served Matebele War, Medal; resigned 22nd February 1899; reappointed Captain 25th November 1914; Acting Major whilst 2nd in command of 6th Bn Connaught Rangers after The Battle of Guillemont 3rd Sep 1916. Killed in action by artillery fire at S.P. 13, Siege Farm, Kemmel on 15th October 1916.
