Johnstone William Robert Duke PARKE (1822-1889)

Succeeded his brother Roger as landowner of 1482 acres in Cloonameehan and Ballymote.

Johnstone William Parke inherited DUNALLY from his brother Roger Charles. Upon J W's death, the estate went to their cousin Roger Kennedy Parke

Note in Sligo Local History idex reads: "Oct 1899, Obit in London of Johnston Wm. Robert Parke, second son of Sir William. Aged 77." Note however that the GRO index entry (Johnstone William R. Parke, age 78, Paddington, vol 1a, p 50) makes him a year older. This suggests that the IGI entry is incorrect in giving his date of birth as 20 Dec 1822: this may indeed be the date of his baptism (listed in the Irish Family History index as 1822), but he may of course have been born a few months, if not a year, earlier.
