On his daughter Catherine's marriage registration, she said she was from "Parkestown". There is a townland called Parke in the area known as Kilglass, right beside Leaffony which was owned by Major Charles Parke (as shown in Griffith's Valuations).

Roger and Robert Parke leased land in Carrowbunnaun (beside Knocknarea) where Catherine Parke married John Hunter.
